US industrial conglomerate selects MaxECM for enhancement to accounts payable workflow solution
Miami, July 2019 – MaxECM Solutions LLC, a boutique software and service provider for SAP and OpenText enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, has been selected by a major US aircraft, defense, and industrial conglomerate to implement major enhancements to its SAP accounts payable automation solution used by its European operations.
The company has been using a packaged third party accounts payable automation solution in SAP with OCR integration for over six years in several countries throughout Europe processing approximately 350,000 PO and Non-PO invoices and credit memos annually. The solution was initially used in Central Europe as a localized country application, but later rolled out to seven country organizations as part of the implementation of a shared service center in Southern Europe for more centralized processing.
This roll out triggered the need for several enhancements to the solution, so the company contacted MaxECM to assist with the design and the implementation of the enhancements.
Key enhancements included:
- Integration of incoming EDI/IDOC invoices with workflow and process tracking in SAP to standardize invoice processing across all inbound channels
- Creation and archiving of a HTML pro forma invoice containing IDOC data to satisfy document imaging requirements
- Enhancements to the UI and password security for invoice approval and payment release in a web-based approval portal
- Implementation of sophisticated task tracking and deadline monitoring in SAP with escalation procedures to avoid delays in vendor payments and improve payment discount utilization
The client is very satisfied with the project outcome as MaxECM has provided exactly the functionality they were looking for and went above and beyond to implement features, that they had not even though of, to further improve the design. The project was completed on time and on budget.
