European bank selects MaxECM to implement OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) 20.4 on S/4HANA
Miami, July 2021 – MaxECM Solutions LLC, a boutique software and service provider for SAP ECM and OpenText solutions, has been selected by a major European bank to implement OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
The bank with a large presence in Central Europe is implementing SAP S/4HANA as part of a corporate wide SAP implementation. In order to support accounting processes in SAP with automation and content management from the beginning, the bank has chosen OpenText Vendor Invoice Management.
MaxECM was tasked with a corporate wide analysis of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes and with the creation of a functional design document for all relevant processes. The analysis phase was completed successfully and all requirements were mapped to enhanced VIM functionalities.
Subsequently, MaxECM was selected to manage the implementation of OpenText VIM Invoice Management 20.4 and Intelligent Capture for SAP (IC4SAP) for accounts payable processes in a SAP S/4HANA 1909 environment. In addition, custom components of VIM Beyond Invoice solutions will be implemented to support accounts receivable and general ledger processes.
Inbound processing for all documents will be done by VIM Foundation 20.4 involving scan, email, and new XML channels with custom middleware integration. XML processing will include files from both external vendors and intercompany transactions. As a bank, the client has a very complex corporate structure with over 100 company codes that will need to be implemented generating over 500,000 transactions per year. With about 350 users involved in invoice processing, the client is looking for a high degree of automation, especially using XML. MaxECM will implement several custom data enrichment and data verification algorithms with logic modules and business rules to also enhance automated processing for scanned and emailed documents.
