MaxECM implements OpenText Vendor Invoice Management™ 7.5 at German auto parts supplier
Miami, November 2019 – MaxECM Solutions LLC, a boutique software and service provider for SAP ECM and Opentext solutions, is implementing OpenText™ Vendor Invoice Management for SAP® Solutions (VIM) version 7.5 SP8 to automate accounts payable processing in SAP at a large German auto parts supplier. OpenText™ Vendor Invoice Management for SAP® Solutions (VIM) is the leading accounts payable automation solution for SAP, which optimizes and simplifies the process of receiving, managing, routing and monitoring invoices and related documentation.
The company is a leading manufacturer of operating components, switches, and sensors for the automotive industry. It has plants and offices throughout Europe, North America, and Asia and over 15,000 employees. Vendor invoice preparation and initial processing is completed in a shared services center in Central Europe with an average annual volume of 350,000 documents. Detailed processing and approvals take place in several office locations in the respective countries. The total number of core users participating in the VIM roll out is approximately 45 key users and several hundred approvers, buyers, and goods recipients.
The implementation includes all VIM 7.5 SP8 core functionalities, such as invoice capture via scan and email, DP dashboard validation and processing, non-PO invoice approval, dialog and background posting, and PO price and quantity variance processing, with invoices and credit memos in scope. Inbound channels are using optical character recognition (OCR) with OpenText Business Center 16.3.
In addition to baseline functionality, MaxECM has implemented price and quantity variance processing prior to PO invoice posting, GRIV based item matching logic, complex newly created logic modules for bank data and tax code validations, and custom reporting on price variances.
